    Alberta’s government has approved the formation of a new regional services commission for the Edmonton Metropolitan Region with a mandate for improving regional transit and mobility. The legal formation comes after several years of hard work and due diligence by Councils and their administrations, which culminated in an application submitted by the eight participating municipalities in 2020.

    The woodchipper is gassed up and ready to go – Christmas Tree Chipping is back! The annual event invites community members to dispose of their trees at the Rotary Recycling Centre to be chipped and made into mulch for use in community landscaping.

    This week, presentations were made to the Councils of Parkland County, the City of Spruce Grove and the Town of Stony Plain providing important updates on the progress of the work being done in support of the Tri-Municipal Regional Plan (TMRP). Work began on the TMRP following the municipalities signing a letter of intent and securing funding from Western Economic Diversification in January 2019.
