Two months in a row now, the Town of Stony Plain has seen an incredible amount of rain. According to Environment Canada, looking at the last 20 years, June 2019 saw 124. 9 mm, second only to 2011 when the Town saw 133. 1 mm.
The Town of Stony Plain’s 2018 Annual Report is now complete. Released annually, the report informs residents of major milestones, initiatives, and projects within Stony Plain, while providing clear and accurate financial reporting to the public.
The Town is looking for local individuals to participate in the Long Stay Volunteer Program in Shikaoi, Japan. For a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 80 days, the program is an excellent way to further deepen the sister town relationship and to experience an exciting culture first-hand.
Alberta Transportation (AT) has informed the Town, the intersection of Hwy 628 (79 Ave) and Hwy 779 (48 St) will be down to one lane of alternating traffic on Monday July 15th and Tuesday July 16. th.
