STONY PLAIN, AB:. The Town of Stony Plain is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated dates for Midsummer Thursdays in 2023.
Summer Sessions are back, bringing music and entertainment to Stony Plain. Free weekly concerts will be hosted at Heritage Park from mid-June through to early August.
Two new wheelchair-accessible swings are now available for use in Tri-Region parks, as part of the City of Spruce Grove and Town of Stony Plain’s commitment to improving accessibility in our communities. The initiative was made possible by a donation from Colleen and John Prince of Parkland County.

Road Closure Bylaw 2663/RC/22 Given Second and Third Reading. On June 13, 2022, Council approved amendments to The Brickyard at Old Town Area Structure Plan (ASP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB) to facilitate the development of Brickyard Stage 5 and the extension of Brickyard Drive.
STONY PLAIN, AB:. The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting (CanFR) has been awarded to the Town of Stony Plain by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the 2021 Annual Report.
The Town of Stony Plain and the Fire Department specifically have received a number of offers of support for our neighbouring communities during the wildfire crisis. We appreciate the offer to help, however, in emergencies of this magnitude it is important that we clearly understand the needs required and allow the formalized channels to react to those needs.
