  • Annual Outdoor Movie Returns as a Three-Film Feature

    The Town of Stony Plain is bringing back the annual Outdoor Movie, but this year community members are in for a three-film special feature. This year’s Outdoor Movie will take place at Heritage Park on Saturday, August 7.

  • Highway 779 Update - July 8

    Alberta Transportation has provided the following update on Highway 779 Construction:. Line painting will continue this Friday and Saturday, between Willow Park Road North and 55 Avenue, on both the north and southbound lanes.

  • Downtown Redevelopment Update - July 8

    Storm main work continues after the high temperatures last week. Crews have returned to normal work hours.

  • Umbach Dog Park Road Update - July 7

    Road construction at Umbach Dog Park is progressing. While the majority of construction will be complete this week, the road will open to traffic next week to allow for fencing and landscape work to be finished.

  • Annual Report Provides Overview of 2020

    The Town of Stony Plain’s 2020 Annual Report is now available to the public. Each year, the Town publishes a report outlining major milestones, initiatives, and projects within the community as well as a clear and accurate financial report.

  • Governance & Priorities Council Meeting Highlights for July 5, 2021

    Environmental Master Plan and Stewardship Strategy Presentation to Council. Council accepted the Environmental Master Plan and the Environmental Stewardship Strategy for information.

  • Stony Plain Water Restrictions Lifted

    Update July 5. 2021: Reservoir levels have recovered and the water supply has returned to normal conditions.

  • Large Item Ticket Program Coming this August

    A new Large Item Ticket Program is coming to Stony Plain this August. Beginning July 5, residents can purchase tickets for eligible large items to be picked up and disposed of by the Town come mid-August.

  • Construction on Golf Course Road Begins July 7

    Construction begins on Golf Course Road next week. During the road construction, Fairways Drive/Brightbank Avenue south to Secondary Highway 628 will be reduced to a single lane.

  • ***Revised*** Highway 779 Construction Update – July 30

    An update to the Highway 779 construction project has been provided by Alberta Transportation. Crews will be off site for the long weekend, starting today, Friday July 30.
