The Town will begin rehabilitation construction on Golf Course Road from the Fairways/Brightbank intersection to Secondary Highway 628 beginning July 5, 2021. The project is expected to be completed in 3 weeks.
Umbach Dog park access road reconstruction will begin Thursday, June 17. The dog park will be closed to four-legged residents and owners for the duration of the project which is set to be completed by July 8, 2021.
Alberta Transportation has provided the following update to construction on Provincial Highway 779. Machine pouring of the sidewalk along the east side of 48 Street, between 50 Avenue and 55 Avenue, will take place Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12.

Alberta Transportation has provided the following update to construction on Provincial Highway 779. Work began in the back lanes on the west side of 48 Street, between 55 Ave and 53 Ave, on Monday May 31st.
A portion of Boulder Boulevard will be closed to traffic at 40 Boulder Boulevard for a sewer manhole repair. The closure will be in effect from Monday, June 7 to approximately Friday, June 11.
Health Canada has announced a new guideline for drinking water quality across the country. Under the new guideline, the maximum acceptable concentration for lead in drinking water has been reduced from 10 to 5 micrograms per litre.
The Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord (CSCN) and the Town of Stony Plain are excited to announce a Francophone school will be coming to the community. The announcement is the result of continued advocacy by the CSCN with strong support from local partners.
The latest Housing and Service Needs Estimate provides a snapshot in time of who is experiencing housing insecurity in the Tri-Municipal Region and the barriers to safe, affordable, stable housing that exist in our region. Based on 359 surveys completed, it is estimated that 632 individuals, including children, experienced housing insecurity in October 2020 throughout Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County.
Downtown Redevelopment construction work continues to progress during the extreme heat. Crews are working early mornings and taking all necessary safety precautions to limit exposure during the high temperatures.
