Family Fest is back! Ring in the New Year in Stony Plain with the return of the family-friendly evening of festivities on December 31.

Five area residents have been awarded with the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for their volunteer contributions. An award ceremony was hosted on December 6 to recognize Keelie Campbell, Jill Clare, Keenan Lewis, Lorraine Stewart, and Trisha Vyse.

RCMP Provide Quarterly Update. The Inspector of the Parkland RCMP Detachment provides Council with crime statistics three times throughout the calendar year.

TELUS's PureFibre construction program has completed for 2022. The PureFibre network will be available for customer orders in the areas constructed in January 2023.

Local transit across the Tri-Municipal region is going on-demand. Beginning January 3, 2023, Stony Plain Transit will integrate with Spruce Grove’s on-demand local transit service and Acheson Transit to establish a single, on-demand local transit system.

Fees & Charges Bylaw Annual Update. All three readings were given to update the Fees & Charges bylaw during last night’s meeting.

The 2022 Matthew Claus Award has been awarded to Jennifer Penner, a Community Peace Officer (CPO) with the Town of Stony Plain. The award was presented at the Town’s annual Long Service Awards and Recognition Banquet.
