CN has informed the Town that they will be closing the rail crossing on Golf Course Road on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m.
After a year of being closed, the Town is excited to announce the Stony Plain Outdoor Pool will be open by the end of May. The Rotary Spray Park is scheduled to open in early June.
Work continues on the 49 Ave widening, east of 48 Street. Crews will be placing granular base course for the widening starting later today and through the weekend.

A rebate program for business licenses in Stony Plain is now open for application. The 2021 Business License Fee Rebate provides a 50 per cent rebate to resident businesses whose operations have been negatively impacted by the global health pandemic.
Fiscal Sustainability Framework Phase 2 Update. Council has been provided with information on progress toward the Fiscal Sustainability Framework (FSF).
Alberta Transportation has provided the following update to construction on Provincial Highway 779. The outside southbound lane is closed from 52 Ave to 55 Ave at which point traffic is moved to the outside lane and the inside southbound lane is closed from south of 55 Ave to Willow Park Road North.
